Resumen
The Hermitage of Monserrat from Matanzas, is the vertex of an intangible patrimony of traditions, it unites that built by the man - the city - with the nature - the valley -, and she enjoys a special preference among the matanceros and it is very bewitching the approach for the visitors. To recover it and to reuse it was not easy task; it has constituted a commitment of high significance with Athens of Cuba, and with all those that wanted lucid and radiant the monument. To return their patrimonial values, symbols of their existence, we supported a debt with great will and desire.
To restore and to rescue the monument with the purpose of preserving everything that that it is part of our historical patrimony cultural and that it has contributed, in a way or other, to the formation of our identity, it was one of the tasks of more important as regards intervention in the built matancero patrimony
