Resumen de Percepción del desarrollo humano en jóvenes vulnerables: Estudio exploratorio en contextos escolares del sur de Chile

  El estudio realizado tuvo por propósito indagar si los beneficios obtenidos a través del “Sistema Chile Solidario-Puente” (SCS-P), potenciaban el desarrollo humano de los estudiantes de un establecimiento educativo de Enseñanza Media del sur de Chile, a la vez que facilitan su retención escolar. Metodológicamente es de carácter cuantitativo, tipo exploratorio, transversal y de análisis comparativo. La muestra corresponde a 182 estudiantes, a quienes les fue administrado un cuestionario sobre percepciones respecto al Desarrollo Humano. Los datos obtenidos fueron analizados utilizando estadística descriptiva y comparación de Medias (ANOVA). Los resultados no evidenciaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre los jóvenes que participan y que no participan en el SCS-P. Pero, sí se presentan diferencias al incorporar factores personales (género y tipo de educación). Estos hallazgos revelan la necesidad de potenciar en las intervenciones socioeducativas aquellos factores que establecen diferencias significativas y que permitirían avanzar en el desarrollo humano juvenil.

  The aim of this study was to investigate if the benefits guaranteed from the “Chile Solidario-Puente” (SCS-P) increases the human development in secondary school students in the south of Chile at time that it helps school retention. The study was methodologically quantitative, exploratory and transversal, the analysis was comparative. The sample corresponds to 182 students, who were administered a questionnaire on perceptions about Human Development. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and mean comparison (ANOVA). The results showed no statistically significant differences between the young people participating and not participating in the SCS-P. But differences are present when personal factors (gender and type of education) are added. These findings reveal the need to enhance the socio interventions in those factors that establish significant differences that would advance human development in youth.
