Resumen
Harold Silver notes that, over the last twenty-five years or so, there has been a search 'for more comprehensive and less parochial and antiquarian approaches to the history of higher education institutions': approaches that would respond to complaints that such histories had previously been pious domestic histories of only parochial interest, foregrounding 'the views of the people at the top' that offered little sense of 'the community of students and professors', and would, instead, become 'holistic studies of individual institutions over a substantial period of time'. We situate the University of Winchester Alumni Voices Project within this search.
