  • Resumen
    • Migrant and drug trafficking Mexican Ballads coexist in concerts and people’s taste, partially because people recognize a national reality that is well known to them. In this article, we focus on some shared features of the main characters of these corridos (like social status, economic and political marginality, work ethic, and nationalism), which are also shared by a significant part of the audience. The article also shows the correspondence between the values of corrridos’ main characters and the ranchera sociocultural matrix.
