    Tomando en consideración que el Body Art es el lenguaje expresivo del género Performance Art, se plantea como objetivo de este trabajo, una reflexión sobre aquellas acciones artísticas que dieron origen a lo que hoy conocemos como videoperformance. En un principio, con el objeto de documentar las acciones, se comenzaron realizar grabaciones videográficas.

    Después, los artistas empezaron a incorporar determinadas imágenes a sus acciones, lo que planteó la posibilidad de realizar obras con el único objetivo de ser registradas; esto dio origen al videoperformance.

    Taking into consideration that Body Art is the expressive language of the genre performance art, it is presented as the objective of this work, a reflection on those artistic activities that gave origin to what we now know as video performance. At first, in order to document the actions, they began making video recordings. Then artists began to incorporate certain images to their actions, laying out the possibility of making works for the sole purpose of registration; this was the beginning of video performance.
