    Desde Estella a Sevilla es un relato del viaje de dos diplomáticos y su séquito desde Estella (reino de Navarra) a la corte de Pedro I de Castilla en Sevilla. El texto indica los gastos diarios de viaje, y nos ofrece así datos fascinantes sobre gastronomía, cultura de viaje y medios financieros de los diplomáticos que cruzaban la Península Ibérica en el siglo XIV. Compilado en los primeros años de la peste negra y sus terribles secuelas en la Península, el texto también nos muestra de qué manera la vida continuó a pesar de tan terrible azote.

    The Desde Estella a Sevilla is an account of the journey of two diplomats and their attendants from Estella, then in the Kingdom of Navarra, to the court of Pedro I of Castile in Sevilla. The text records each of the expenditures of the day, offering fascinating insights into the gastronomy, travel culture, and financial means of the diplomats that crisscrossed the Iberian Peninsula in the fourteenth century. Compiled in the first years of the Y. Pestis epidemic's ravages in Iberia, the text also provides remarkably specific details about the ways life continued despite the horrors of plague and famine.
