    The discussions about the establishment of different forms of "knowledge" and "doings", especially for understanding those produced socioculturamente and commonly known as "mathematical" is the subject of this text. The relationship between culture, the influence it exerts on mathematical knowledge and reflection about a body of knowledge built by individuals in society and aims at understanding the processes that allow them to live in this society without being excluded from it, is the basis of the argument that sees in Ethnomathematics the condition of possibility of understanding that no knowledge is absolute, ready and finished, but rather part of this socio-cultural construction that is established in society.

    As discussões acerca da constituição de diferentes formas de “saberes” e “fazeres”, especialmente para compreensão daqueles produzidos socioculturamente e comumente conhecido como “matemático”, é o objeto deste texto. A relação entre a cultura, as influências que ela exerce no conhecimento matemático e a reflexão acerca de um corpo de conhecimento construído pelos sujeitos em sociedade e que tem por finalidade a compreensão dos processos que lhes permitirão viver nesta sociedade sem serem excluídos dela, é a base da argumentação que vislumbra, na Etnomatemática, a condição de possibilidade de compreensão de que nenhum conhecimento é absoluto, pronto e acabado, mas, sim, parte dessa construção sociocultural que é estabelecida em sociedade.
