    En las últimas décadas las reformas educativas neoliberales han avanzado significativamente en América Latina. Los aspectos que han tocado estas transformaciones son variados y van desde los que modifican el currículo hasta los que afectan las condiciones de trabajo de los maestros. Uno de estos cambios es la puesta en marcha de las escuelas de tiempo completo (ETC). En esta perspectiva, esta investigación presenta un estudio de carácter exploratorio que muestra los efectos que esta política ha tenido para los maestros de primaria en Tlaxcala. El trabajo se basó en entrevistas focaliza- das a cuatro profesores que trabajan en ETC. Como el fenómeno es muy complejo en este artículo solo se consideraron cuatro niveles: los aspectos pedagógicos, el desgaste y el cansancio de los maestros,los efectos en los salarios y los procesos de capacitación docente.

    In the last twenty years the neoliberal educative polices have had important advances in Latin America. The aspects of these reforms have modified different elements of education and particulary for teacher’s profession. The transformations may be analized in different levels like the curriculum and teaching practice. One of the most important transformation is the stablisment of the Full Time Schools (FTS). This phenomenon, otherwise, is not receant in the continent. This is an exploration research which pretends to identify the most important effects of this proyect in the elementary school teaches in Tlaxcala. The study is based in focalized interviews to four teachers who work in FTS. The article identifies four levels: first, pedagogic aspects; second, the teachers fatigue; third, the salaries and finally the teacher`s capacitation
