    The school is a place of exercise, by action or by detachment, of teen citizenship and can be characterized by cohesion between its actors, namely between teachers and students. It is intended to analyse eventual relationships of different dimensions of citizenship with indicators of the status recognized to the student in the communication between school actors and with the school cohesion. The sample consists of 2040 students from Lisbon and Oporto. The dimensions of citizenship present very significant relationships with the school cohesion and with the students’ status in the communication with teachers and peers.

    A escola é um espaço de exercício, por ação ou por alheamento, de cidadania dos jovens, e pode ser caracterizada pela coesão entre os seus atores, nomeadamente entre professores e alunos. Pretende-se analisar eventuais relações de diferentes dimensões de cidadania com indicadores do estatuto reconhecido ao aluno na comunicação entre atores escolares e bem como com a coesão escolar. A amostra é constituída por 2040 alunos de Lisboa e Porto. As dimensões de cidadania apresentam relações muito significativas com a coesão escolar e com o estatuto dos alunos na comunicação com Professores e Colegas.
