  In a Discourse Analysis study, six girls (16-19 years old) were selected for structured interviews and a focus group. The objectives were to act in a local slum, exploring their love relationships and ambitions. We can identify a fictional desire as well as a literary bond - hook up, casual sex, date, engagement... Beliefs and prejudices are persistent. The speeches are discursive formations in which the girls expect their male to be decent men, provider or breadwinner. The girls can get pregnant with those who challenge them to choose between them or the school. If the boys flirt with them, they say to be passive or self-contained. Their future ambition is to marry and/or be professionals of a higher status.

  Participaram na Análise de Discurso seis raparigas (16-19 anos), selecionadas por critério de insucesso escolar. Uma das autoras, residente em Manaus - Brasil, realizou entrevistas individuais semiestruturadas e grupo focal. Os objetivos foram intervir numa favela local, conhecendo relacionamentos amorosos e ambições. Ilustrou-se o desejo ficcional como um vínculo literário – pegar, ficar, namorar sério, noivar... Elas podem engravidar de quem as coloca a optar em favor deles, contra a escola. Se eles fazem gracinha, elas tomam-se por passivas e trancadas. No futuro, elas ambicionam casar e/ou serem profissionais de estatuto superior.
