    En este artículo se presenta la problemática del papel de la familia en la orientación profesional de sus hijos. Los autores tienen en cuenta términos tales como intenciones profesionales, intereses profesionales, orientación profesional vocacional y familia, para finalmente realizar un estudio a una muestra de familiares y estudiantes de un Instituto Preuniversitario en el que se explora la visión que tienen ambos en cuanto al papel de la familia en el proceso de orientación profesional.

    This article presents some of the scientific results obtained in the project “Educative strategy for developing professional and vocational orientation in Sancti Spíritus. In this article the problem about the role of the family in professional orientation of their children is approached. The authors take into account the following terms: professional interests, professional intentions, professional vocational orientation and family. Finall y it is ac c omplished a study to a sample of students and parents of a High School in order to explore the view of both about the role of family in the professional orientation process.
