  Financial Education has gradually become an emerging theme for the school community as citizens become consumers atan early age. Therefore,there is a concern to develop financial knowledge and skills toenable financial competencesto be acquired at an early age. Citizens are expected to be able to act conscientiously and responsibly in the financial arena and therefore ensure that they can maintain a healthier and more balanced relationship with money. It is thus a fundamental aspect of individual and even social formation, giving individuals the knowledge and skills that enable them to respond more effectively to everyday and even routine situations.

  A EF tornou-se um tema emergente a desenvolver junto da comunidade escolar pelo facto dos cidadãos se assumirem como consumidores em idades cada vez mais precoces. Por este motivo há preocupação em desenvolver conhecimentos e capacidades financeiras por forma a permitir que se adquiram competências financeiras. Pretende-se capacitar os cidadãos para agirem de forma consciente e responsável no âmbito financeiro e consequentemente garantir que podem manter uma relação mais saudável e equilibrada com o dinheiro.
