    En este artículo se realiza un análisis crítico sobre algunas reflexiones teóricas de distintos especialistas en el tema de la lectura y se fijan las principales posiciones de los autores respecto a aspectos inherentes al proceso de lectura, tales como:

    el papel del conocimiento previo, los niveles de la comprensión, los tres objetivos fundamentales para la enseñanza de la lectura y el enfoque de la interpretación como operación cardinal de cualquier lectura sobre cualquier texto; .especial énfasis se ofrece a la interpretación de textos científicos.

    In this article an insight into some distint scientists´s theoretical reflexions regarding the topic of the the ability to read, given clear evidence of the positions of the authors in respects to the most important aspects inherent to the process if readin, such as: the role of the previous knowledge, the levels of comprehension, the objectives of the teaching of the ability to read and the focuss of the interpretation as the cardinal operation of this already mencioned ability, emphasizing in the particularity of the interpretation of scientific text.
