Gaps in content, scholarly ossification, and overly high prices are noted. The concerns of readers including academic researchers, students, and teachers are addressed. The authors suggest that these concerns could be addressed through the reduction of handbook prices, the collaboration of senior scholars and junior scholars in authoring chapters, and the inclusion of authors from various parts of the world.
