The authors identify some topics underlying the encyclopedic curriculum in law schools of selective and research oriented chilean universities.
Based on a precarious understanding of autonomy as a principle required, not only in academic practices, but also as something that students are expected to develop, these topics are criticized and refuted. They are also examined under a set of criteria that are necessary to employ in higher education. Lastly, the article presents and explains a curriculum proposal for these schools of law.
