  • Resumen
    • The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the proposed mobile self-regulated learning approach in higher education settings. A mobile self-regulated learning system was developed to improve students’ learning achievements and self-regulated learning skills. An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach by 60 undergraduates. The experiment group adopted the mobile self-regulated learning approach to read English passages, whereas the control group was not supported by the self-regulated learning mechanism while reading English passages. The results suggested that the mobile self-regulated learning approach significantly enhanced students’ learning achievements and self-regulated learning skills. Furthermore, it was found that the proposed approach did not increase students’ cognitive load. Participants also revealed that the mobile self-regulated learning system was very useful and effective according to the interview results and questionnaires.
