    El presente trabajo contribuye con perspectivas fundamentales para el desarrollo de una metodología narrativa en esta parte del continente. La importancia de aquello radica, a su vez, en que esa metodología ofrece un conocimiento alternativo al provisto por investigaciones positivistas cuantitativas que al generalizar sus resultados buscan estandarizar el quehacer de los docentes. En coherencia con el pensamiento de Paulo Freire, construido sobre las experiencias de los profesores, la metodología narrativa en cambio posibilita un conocimiento contextualizado del profesor que ayuda a comprender mejor su tarea en favor del educando y que debe desarrollarse en un contexto particular latinoamericano.

    This work contributes with perspectives essential to the development of a narrative methodology in this zone of our continent. The importance thereof resides, in turn, in the fact that this methodology provides a knowledge alternative to the one provided by quantitative positivist researches that, by generalizing their results, have sought to standardize the teacher’s practice. Coherently with Paulo Freire’s thinking, built on the teacher’s experiences, the narrative methodology enables instead a contextualized knowledge about the teacher, which helps to better understand his/her tasks to benefit the learner and that should be developed in the particular Latin-American context.
