In our culture we always have considered the death as a taboo subject, which should be avoided. But, although we do not like it, this will happen to us many times indirectly, and one directly, when the time comes for us. For this reason, in this article we study how the treatment of death has been or has been carried out, specifically in the town of Altea, where, through interviews and bibliographic research, we have classified all the steps that follow from moments before dying until the dismissal and worship after the deceased. Also, we have studied some local phraseology linked to the subject.
