  • Resumen
    • The paper is a mixed-method case study. First focus is to test which standard and indicators are suitable for universities reporting on sustainability. Therefore, reporting was on the agenda of the bachelor's course “Business Ethics”, where students were engaged to test indicators for which they collected and analyzed data from the university's administration.

After that the students were interviewed to find out effects of involvement to students but also for improvements of reporting itself.

Due to the fact the teaching was practical on own university, positive effects of the involvement to the students occur.

The paper delivers indicators for sustainability reporting using the G4-GRI standard, a successful tested approach as well as limitations writing a sustainability report. Set up reporting on teaching agenda and involve students is documented as a successful approach due to the fact that students on the one hand benefit in several aspects: they are more sensitized and aware on sustainability. On the other hand, the involvement is a good support for a complex and time-consuming reporting progress. The aspects mentioned in the interviews led to improvements of the process
