Por un feminismo de respeto, de wakcha a wanku

    En las recientes movilizaciones sociales que paralizaron a Ecuador en octubre del 2019, hubo una presencia importante de mujeres indígenas y se pudo observar alianzas entre estas últimas y las organizaciones de mujeres no-indígenas. El propósito de este artículo es, por un lado, analizar los discursos de algunas de las mujeres kichwas que estuvieron presentes en las movilizaciones para explorar las posibilidades de construcción de marcos de análisis y herramientas para la acción, entre mujeres kichwas y organizaciones de mujeres no-indígenas. Por otro lado, el análisis de estos discursos permite elaborar una propuesta de un nuevo feminismo, un feminismo de respeto, que recupera la importancia de lo colectivo de la cosmovisión indígena para introducirlo y reactualizarlo en la reflexión y la práctica feministas.

    During the October 2019 social mobilizations that paralyzed the country of Ecuador put Ecuador to a halt, we observed an important presence of indigenous women and the formation of alliances between the latter and non-indigenous women’s organizations. The purpose of this article is, on the one hand, to analyze the discourse of some of the Kichwa women who participated in the social mobilizations to explore the possibilities of building analysis frameworks and tools for action among Kichwa women and non-indigenous women’s organizations. On the other hand, by analyzing these discourses, I elaborate a proposal of new feminism, a feminism of respect that recovers the importance of the collective -paramount in the indigenous worldview, for the purpose of amending the feminist reflection and practice.
