Análisis del carácter científico del turismo

    Desde que el turismo se ha considerado un objeto de estudio, se ha tenido la curiosidad y la aparente necesidad de visualizarlo con determinado rigor científico; lo que ha desencadenado debates a favor y en contra de su capacidad científica formal, es decir, ser reconocido como un campo de conocimiento, si bien con cierto carácter inter, multi e incluso transdisciplinario, pero en su corpus teórico independiente o emancipado de las ciencias económico administrativas. Del mismo modo se analizan los argumentos epistemológicos desde los que se considera o se refuta al turismo como ciencia. El objetivo es analizar la posibilidad epistemológica del turismo como objeto de estudio que permita su cientificidad. Dicho análisis alcanza también al término ciencia, desde el cual se parte, para comprender o empezar a considerar la llamada turismología. La metodología es de tipo documental, en la cual se estudiaron los discursos de las posturas epistemológicas a favor y en contra de la cientificidad del turismo. Es necesario desaprehender ciertos términos, como ciencia, para empezar a pensar en el turismo como un objeto con carácter científico.

    Since tourism has been considered an object of study, there has been curiosity and the apparent need to visualize it with a certain scientific rigor; what has triggered debates for and against the formal scientific capacity of tourism, that is, to be recognized as a field of knowledge, albeit with a certain inter, multi and even transdisciplinary character, but in its independent or emancipated theoretical corpus of the economic-administrative sciences. In the same way, the epistemological arguments from which tourism is considered or refuted as a science are analyzed. The objective is to analyze the epistemological possibility of tourism as an object of study that allows its scientificity. This analysis also reaches the term science, from which it starts, to understand or begin to consider the so-called tourism. The methodology is of documentary type, in which the discourses of the epistemological positions in favor and against the scientificity of tourism were studied. It is necessary to unlearn certain terms, such as science, to begin to think of tourism as an object with a scientific character.
