A Technology Innovation Mapping (TIM) Tool has been introduced in previous papers. The TIM Tool organizes the process of linkingcustomers and technologies into a series of steps. The tool can be used by engineers, engineering, and others involved in technologycommercialization. This paper focuses on the steps that organize the task of creating potential customers for a technology. The authorspresent an example technology to illustrate the key concepts of the TIM Tool.
