Asignaturas dictadas y actitud hacia la investigación de los docentes de matemática de una Universidad Experimental

    Los docentes universitarios por sus funciones de docencia e investigación se caracterizan por cumplir con una serie de conocimientos, actitudes, conductas y competencias en el área de su especialidad. Las universidades se proyectan por la cantidad y calidad de producciones intelectuales. Pero en las universidades venezolanas específicamente las experimentales como la UNELLEZ San Carlos, se evidencia déficit en investigadores y producciones en el área de matemática. En este sentido, la investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre las características académica del docente de matemática y su actitud hacia la investigación. Se enmarca en un tipo descriptiva- correlacional, y de campo transeccional, el universo estuvo conformado por 21 docentes del área periodo lectivo I-2016, el instrumento constó de dos partes: asignaturas y actitud investigativa obteniendo una confiabilidad de 0,906. Los datos fueron analizados de forma: descriptiva e inferencial donde se afirmó la hipótesis de investigación: la actitud hacia la investigación depende de la asignatura que dicta el docente: matemática básica y profesional, evidenciando la relación estadística entre los factores que potencian o disminuyen la manifestación de competencias hacia la investigación.

    University teachers for their teaching and research functions are characterized by complying with a series of knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and competences in the area of their specialty. The universities are projected by the quantity and quality of intellectual productions. But in Venezuelan universities, specifically experimental ones such as UNELLEZ San Carlos, there is a deficit in researchers and productions in the area of mathematics. In this sense, the research aims to determine the relationship between the academic characteristics of the teacher of mathematics and his attitude towards research. It is framed in a descriptive-correlational type, and of a transectional field, the universe consisted of 21 teachers from the I-2016 school period, the instrument consisted of two parts: subjects and investigative attitude obtaining a reliability of 0.906. The data were analyzed in a descriptive and inferential way where the research hypothesis was affirmed: the attitude towards research depends on the subject dictated by the teacher: basic and professional mathematics, evidencing the statistical relationship between the factors that enhance or diminish the manifestation of competences towards research.
