  The aim of this paper is to contribute to the research that investigates the theme expertise, experts and the production of knowledge in teacher training and teaching.

  The concepts of expertise and experts in education are discussed in order to better situate them and research on them. In addition, an analysis was carried out of the paper 'Mathematics:

  an announced choice of studies and life', seeking to answer the following question: what would have been the role of experts in the production of the professional knowledge of the teacher who teaches Mathematics? The results show that this researcher, considered in this text as an expert, produced knowledge in the pedagogical field based on the elaboration of the 'Curriculum guide for primary education'.

  O objetivo deste artigo é trazer contribuições à pesquisa que investiga a temática expertise, experts e a produção de saberes na formação de professores e no ensino.

  Discute-se os conceitos expertise e experts em educação visando melhor situar esses conceitos e sua pesquisa. Além disso, foi realizada análise no artigo ‘Matemática: uma escolha anunciada de estudos e vida’, buscando responder à seguinte interrogação: qual teria sido o papel de experts na elaboração do saber profissional do professor que ensina matemática? Os dados são indicativos de que a autora do artigo, considerada neste texto como expert, produziu saberes no campo pedagógico a partir da elaboração dos ‘Guias curriculares para o ensino de 1º grau’.
