  • Resumen
    • Curriculum evaluation is an essential component of nurse education. Nurses are increasingly expected to have at least a basic level of Information Technology (IT) skills and the acquisition of such skills is now an integral part of many nurse education courses. This paper describes the background to and results of a study undertaken to investigate the feasibility of, and student feelings about, student nurses inputting evaluation questionnaire answers directly onto computer. This contrasts with the standard method of completing paper forms and data being input by someone else. It was anticipated that this method of data input and storage might demonstrate to the students some practical applications of the research theory and Information Technology (IT) skills included in their curriculum and also help solve some of the problems of time and cost involved in other methods.
