All educators must be concerned with how and what students learn. Students must be able to learn as efficiently as technicians are expected to work. This article is about creating instructional materials that teach the knowledge and skills that must precede technical training. It will focus on the cooperative development process used by US and Canadian educators, private sector advisors, and the Agency for Instructional Technology (AIT) to produce the ‘Math Works’ and ‘Principles of Technology’ teaching and learning materials.
