  • This essay defines “US workers” and “illegal immigrants” in an attempt to explain how the law is meant to project American jobs; reviews the continuing practice in the hospitality industry of hiring illegal immigrants over Americans; and discusses what the industry should do to change from a primarily low-skill, low-wage employer to a competitive, high-wage employer of American workers.
