  • In this article the author suggests that it is important to look more closely at the educational process of distance learning courses. In particular she says there is a need to look at the interrelationship between a distance learning course's support system and its learning materials, and the influence this relationship has upon students’ experiences and approaches to learning. She then describes a study which has attempted to do precisely this.
