  • Resumen
    • Education in Japan has been experiencing a profound innovation, the Kumon Method, which in just three decades has influenced 1.5 million students and become a household word to 70 per cent of the mothers in Japan. We shall focus on this Kumon Method of education in order to shed some light on the secret of its remarkable growth from the standpoints of: 1. innovation of educational technology; 2. innovation in management for the education industry; and 3. creation of an educational ideal to suit a new era. We shall then empirically examine the contents. This is a case study of a successful educational system in Japan. The structure of the educational system based on this Kumon method could well be considered a perfect model for the excellent educational system of the future.
