Los autores, que son conocidos por sus análisis y teorías sobre el cambio educativo, presentan en este libro la propuesta de un movimiento para transformar la educación.
Están convencidos de que esa transformación es uno de los retos más importantes que tiene la sociedad actual.
El núcleo de su propuesta transformadora es el “capital profesional” que, a su vez, integra otros tres tipos de capital: humano, social y decisorio.
Paralelamente a la presentación de su propuesta, se analizan los intentos de reforma que han resultado fallidos y, sobre todo, ofrecen alternativas solventes que se articulan sobre la estructura que confieren al concepto de capital profesional.
Finalmente, ofrecen pautas y directrices muy concretas a docentes, directores y responsables nacionales, para que sea posible crear capital profesional y ponerlo en circulación.

The authors, who are known for their analyzes and theories on educational change, present in this book the proposal of a movement to transform education. They are convinced that this transformation is one of the most important challenges facing today's society.
