This article attempts to verify how the Japanese speakers produce syllables in Portuguese that do not exist in their native language, in particular the case of consonant clusters and consonants in syllable final position. The analysis is based on the hypothesis of language transfer, reactivation of L1 acquisition and universal preference for CV structure. It is expected therefore that this article helps teachers of Portuguese for Japanese speakers to better understand some important linguistic process for the proper pronunciation of the learner
Este artigo busca verificar como os falantes japoneses produzem sílabas do português que não existem em sua língua materna, em especial, o caso dos encontros consonantais e consoantes em posição final da sílaba. A análise é feita a partir das hipóteses de transferência linguística, reativação da aquisição de L1 e preferência universal pela estrutura CV. Espera-se, assim, que este artigo ajude os professores de língua portuguesa para japoneses a compreenderem melhor alguns processos linguísticos importantes para a pronúncia adequada do aprendiz
