Uma análise do desenvolvimento do Geoturismo em cinco Geoparques brasileiros

    O presente artigo aborda um segmento do turismo de natureza denominado geoturismo, considerando-o como um importante instrumento para a conservação do patrimônio geológico e da geodiversidade. O geoturismo vem sendo praticado principalmente nos territórios conhecidos como geoparques. O Brasil é o primeiro país das Américas a ter um geoparque integrante da Rede Global de Geoparques (RGG) -o Geopark Araripe, além deste, há outras propostas reconhecidas por decretos em âmbito estadual ou municipal e que aguardam reconhecimento da RGG. Assim, apresenta-se parte dos resultados de uma pesquisa realizada com os coordenadores e gestores de cinco propostas de geoparques brasileiros, tendo como objetivo analisar o desenvolvimento do geoturismo nesses territórios, caracterizando seu perfil quanto à infraestrutura, serviços e atividades disponíveis, e no que se refere à participação das comunidades nos geoparques e no planejamento do geoturismo. A partir das análises, observa-se que o geoturismo ainda é um segmento pouco praticado nos geoparques pesquisados, no entanto, além do membro da RGG, outros já apresentam iniciativas para desenvolver essa modalidade de turismo.

    This article is about a segment of the tourism of nature called geotourism, it is regarded as an important instrument for the conservation of geological heritage and geodiversity. Geotourism is mainly practiced in the areas known as geoparks. Brazil is the first country in America to have a Geopark that is member of the Global Geoparks Network (GGN) - the Geopark Araripe, additionally to this, there are other proposals recognized by decree at the state or municipal level and awaiting recognition of GGN. Through this article it is shown some of the results of a survey applied with the coordinators and managers of five Brazilian geoparks proposed, aiming to analyze the development of geotourism in these areas, featuring their profile on their infrastructure, services and available activities, and regarding the participation of communities in geoparks and geotourism planning. From the analysis, it is noticed that the geoturism is one of the few practiced segments in the researched geoparks, nevertheless, additionally to be member of the GGN, other of them show intentions to develop this type of tourism.
