    El objetivofuerealizar una revisión de la literatura científico-pedagógica actual a fin de fundamentarel rol de la escuelaen la educación alimentaria. Se estudiaron artículos publicados entre 2013 y 2018 en revistas indexadas enbases de datos relacionadas tales como Scielo, E-libro y Library. Los criterios para la selección fueron: que la investigación se realizara en el contexto latinoamericano (excepto el artículo de la FAO, que es base de todas las investigaciones), que trabajaran con población escolar e implementaran estrategias para la educación alimentaria y la nutrición.Como principales hallazgosse significan los conceptos de educación nutricional; hábitos alimentarios; y deeducación para la salud en la escuela; ademásse construye un estado del arte sobre el tema.

    The objective was to carry out a review of the current scientific-pedagogical literature in order to base the role of the school in food education. Articles published between 2013 and 2018 in journals indexed in related databases such as: Scielo, E-libro and Library were studied. The criteria for the selection were that the research was carried out in the Latin American context (except for the FAO article, which is the basis of all the research), to work with the school population and implement strategies for food education and nutrition. The main findings are the concepts of nutritional education; eating habits; and education for health at school; In addition, a state of the art is built on the subject.
