Objetivo: conocer el tratamiento que el magazine especializado en turismo En Viaje brindó a la cultura del vino y el enoturismo en Chile (1933-1973). Metodología: se examinaron todos los números publicados (470), incluyendo textos e ilustraciones. Resultado: Chile produjo un temprano proceso de valoración de la cultura del vino por su significado patrimonial, identitario y territorial. Limitaciones: la revista no logró cubrir las fiestas vitivinícolas locales. Conclusiones: el carácter estatal permitió que la revista actuara con independencia de los intereses económicos de la industria. Los editores y principalmente los dibujantes de En Viaje se adelantaron al desarrollo teórico del enoturismo como instrumento de valoración del patrimonio y los paisajes culturales.

Objective: To know the treatment that the magazine specialized in tourism En Viaje gave to wine culture and wine tourism in Chile (1933-1973). Methodology:Aall issues (470) were examined, including texts and illustrations. Results: Chile produced an early process of valuation of wine culture for its patrimonial, identity and territorial significance. Limitations: The magazine failed to cover local wine festivals. Conclusions: The state character allowed the magazine to act independently of the economic interests of the industry. The editors and mainly the cartoonists of En Viaje were ahead of the theoretical development of wine tourism as an instrument to value heritage and cultural landscapes.
