  El presente artículo analiza la pertinencia de la transversalidad para el aprendizaje de unalengua extranjera, relacionada al enfoque metodológico de Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenidosy Lenguas Extranjeras (AICLE), resaltando el valor que debe otorgársele a la lengua meta,pero sin obviar los rasgos propios de la lingüística. El diseño de la investigación tuvo unametodología cualitativa, la cual permitió analizar la situación académica del grupo muestra encuanto al nivel de inglés como lengua extranjera mediante un cuestionario, un test inicial y untest final, cuyos resultados presentaron una mejora considerable después de haberse aplicadola metodología propuesta

  This article analyzes the relevance of transversality for the learning of a foreign language, relatedto the methodological approach of Integrated Learning of Contents and Foreign Languages(CLIL), highlighting the value that should be given to the target language, but without ignoringits own characteristics of linguistics. The research design had a qualitative methodology, whichallowed to analyze the academic situation of the sample group in terms of the level of English asa foreign language through a questionnaire, a pre-test, and a post-test, which results showed aconsiderable improvement after having applied the proposed methodology.
