  • Resumen
    • The aim of this work was to determine the microwave drying kinetics ofEucalyptus Gomphocephala wood and to investigate the influence ofintermittent and continuous heating processes on the end quality of dreidsamples. The average moisture content evolution and temperature of woodsamples under different microwave powers were analyzed in terms of dryingtime and internal temperature level. Re sults show that the increase ofmicrowave power level decreses the drying time and increases the internalwood temperature. Based on qualitative observations on the state of driedsamples, the intermittent microwave powers intensity process present theoptimal processing parameter in microwave drying of Eucalyptus woodspecies.
