This work presents a model for predicting the specific energy consumption of HighSpeed Machining of AISI 316L, using an Artificial Neural Network. The characteristicsof material-cutting power and influence of the cutting parameters on the materialcuttingenergy are both taken into account in the model. The case study indicatesthat the Artificial Neural Network can be used to predict the specific energyconsumption of High Speed Machining of AISI 316L conveniently under variousmachining conditions.
