Análise da associação ciência e religiosidade entre estudantes universitários: implicações educacionais para formação de professores de ciências

    The objective of this paper was to identify the association between intrinsic religiosity and attitudes towards science in university students. In addition, it was also verified whether there were differences in the type of undergraduate course or the year in which the student was enrolled in relation to the variables Intrinsic Religiosity (IR); Beliefs and Affections (CA) and Personal Initiative (IP). Attitudes towards science can be understood by the composition of an individual's beliefs, affections and behaviors regarding science. In order to carry out this work proposal, 403 undergraduates from the full degree courses of the University Campus Professor Alberto Carvalho/UFS participated in the research. For this research, a quantitative approach was adopted with the application of a questionnaire followed by statistical analysis of the responses. Data were tabulated and analyzed using the SPSS for Windows program. As a result, we verified that, in general and taking into account the previous results, all tests confirmed a series of results already discussed in several articles on the same theme, published in different scientific journals, that is: higher education courses do not interfere, nor do they change the individual's belief in a deity. The results also point out that the appreciation for science and the personal taste for it is greater in courses in the areas of Science.

    O objetivo desse trabalho foi identificar a associação entre Religiosidade Intrínseca e Atitudes em Relação à Ciência de estudantes universitários. Além disso, também foi verificado se havia diferenças no tipo de curso de graduação ou o ano em que o graduando estava matriculado em relação às variáveis Religiosidade Intrínseca (RI); Crenças e Afetos (CA) e Iniciativa Pessoal (IP). Atitudes em Relação à Ciência pode ser compreendida pela composição de crenças, afetos e comportamentos de um indivíduo no que concerne a ciência. Para a realização dessa proposta de trabalho participaram da pesquisa 403 graduandos dos cursos de licenciatura plena do Campus Universitário Professor Alberto Carvalho (UFS). Para essa pesquisa, foi adotada uma abordagem quantitativa com aplicação de questionário seguida de análise estatística das respostas. Os dados foram tabulados e analisados através do programa SPSS for Windows. Como resultados verificamos que, de maneira geral e levando em consideração os resultados anteriores, todos os testes confirmaram uma série de resultados já discutidos em vários artigos de mesma temática, publicados em periódicos científicos diversos, isto é: cursos superiores não atrapalham, tampouco alteram a crença do indivíduo em uma divindade. Os resultados também apontam que o apreço pela ciência e o gosto pessoal por ela é maior em cursos das áreas de Ciências.
