    O objetivo do estudo consiste em compreender a política do Atendimento Educacional Especializado pela via dos estudos desenvolvidos no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da UFES, no período de 2008 a 2015, utilizando-se a metodologia da pesquisa bibliográfica. Tal política tem ganhado força no cenário nacional a partir de 2008 e os municípios têm oferecido esse serviço como forma de apoiar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem dos sujeitos público-alvo da educação especial. A partir da análise de conteúdo articulados com o referencial teórico de Vigotski, o estudo oportunizou conhecer e compreender o Atendimento Educacional Especializado pela via das pesquisas auxiliando a refletir sobre a organização, os modos de atender e o referencial teórico. As pesquisas também mostram a importância da formação dos professores, principalmente a formação continuada. Conclui que o Atendimento Educacional Especializado contribui para a ressignificação do sentido da escola para os sujeitos público-alvo da educação especial, acolhendo as diferenças e respeitando a diversidade, promovendo espaços inclusivos, onde todos tenham acesso ao conhecimento.

    The objective of the study is to understand the policy of the Specialized Educational Service by means of the studies developed in the Postgraduate Program in Education of UFES, from 2008 to 2015, using the methodology of bibliographic research. This policy has gained strength on the national stage from 2008 and municipalities have offered this service as a way to support the teaching-learning process of the target group for special education. Articulating content analysis and the theoretical framework of Vygotsky this study provides an opportunity to know and understand the Specialized Educational Service in the researches and also helps to reflect on the organization, the ways of this service and the theoretical framework. The researches also show the importance of teacher training, especially of continuing education. It concludes that the Specialized Educational Service helps to reframe the school direction of the target group for special education, accepting differences and respecting diversity, promoting inclusive spaces where everyone has access to knowledge.
