Resumen de Influencia del tamaño de la explotación sobre los parámetros productivos y económicos de las explotaciones de raza Assaf

The aim of this work was to study the effect of flock size Assaf sheep farms in Castilla y León on its production and economic parameters. Information (technical and economic) was recorded monthly at 11 dairy farms Assaf breed from July 2013 to June 2014. The farms were grouped into those with fewer than 500 ewes (n = 4), 500-800 ewes (n = 5) and over 800 ewes (n = 2). The milk produced by sheep and external manpower employed were higher (p <0.05) and content in bacteriology was lower (p <0.05) in the larger farms. No statistically significant differences (p> 0.05) in the other technical and production parameters were found.
