Resumen de Educación, tecnología y Covid-19: Usos de internet con fines educativos de docentes y estudiantes universitarios durante la pandemia en Cañar -Ecuador

La pandemia conllevó retos que hicieron emerger brechas que parecían resueltas en la educación. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar de qué manera docentes y estudiantes universitarios usaron internet con fines educativos en el contexto de COVID-19. Se recurrió a un abordaje cuantitativo, que mediante encuestas a 221 estudiantes y 118 docentes permitió identificar la manera en la cual emplearon la red para la educación. Como hallazgos se encuentra que los actores recurrieron al autoaprendizaje o consulta entre pares para solventar inquietudes, que la plataforma de videoconferencias Zoom y el Entorno Virtual de Aprendizaje de la universidad fueron de mucha ayuda, aunque sería importante continuar con capacitaciones que permitan unamejor gestión tanto técnica como pedagógica

The pandemic brought challenges and created gaps that seemed resolved in education. The objective of this research was to analyze how university teachers and students used the Internet for educational purposes in the context of COVID-19. A quantitative approach was used, which through surveys of 221 students and 118 teachers allowed us to identify the way in which they used the network for education. As findings, it is found that the actors resorted to self-learning or consultation between peers to resolve concerns, that the Zoom videoconferencing platform and the University's Virtual Learning Environment were very helpful, although it would be important to continue with training that allows better management both technical as pedagogical
