  • Resumen
    • The wastewater from the Brazilian cassava flour processing was submitted to an anaerobic treatment with two neutralizing agents (NaOH or limestone). This anaerobic effluent was used as fertilizer in the maize cultivated in pots in a greenhouse in the initial growth stage. The irrigation amount with the wastewater was calculated to promote nitrogen around 0.3 g.kg-1 of soil. The fertilization had favorable effect attributed to the pH increase greater than 7.5 and to the alkalis bases availability to 90%. The nitrogen absorption performances (εN) by the maize plants were 64%, 54%, 80% and 78% for T3, T4, T5 and T6, respectively.
