    Los problemas de salud mental de los y las docentes es una realidad que sin duda es preocupante y que por consiguiente no se puede negar; factores como el agobio, las bajas remuneraciones, el estigma social, los desórdenes en los hábitos diarios por falta de tiempo, entre otros factores, evidentemente repercuten en su salud. El siguiente artículo tiene como objetivo indagar en los indicadores de salud física y mental en docentes de la región del Maule y de Ñuble. Desde un diseño cuantitativo se analizan los resultados obtenidos de dos instrumentos, un cuestionario sobre salud y hábitos de vida, y otro de niveles de estrés y emociones. Las observaciones dan cuenta que la realidad sobre este tema no ha cambiado a través de los años y que, en efecto, no existen instancias efectivas que busquen remediar o reparar esta situación que enfrentan muchos de nuestros docentes.

    The mental health problems of teachers is a reality that is undoubtedly worrying and that therefore cannot be denied. Factors such as stress, low pay, social stigma, disorders in daily habits due to lack of time, among other factors, obviously affect their health. The following article aims to investigate the physical and mental health indicators in teachers in the Maule and Ñuble region. From a quantitative design, the results obtained are analyzed from two instruments, a questionnaire on health and lifestyle habits, and another on levels of stress and emotions. The observations show that the reality regarding this issue has not changed over the years, and that in fact there are no effective instances that seek to remedy or repair this situation faced by many of our teachers.
