  • Resumen
    • In a recent article ( J. Chem. Educ. 2023, 100 (6), 2166), Carma, Miranda, and Silva say, “the highest probability of the blood/breath ratio [(BBR) which is the proportionality factor that relates blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) to breath-alcohol concentration (BrAC)] is around 1900:1 to 2400:1.” In fact, this ratio varies considerably, which the authors allude to only briefly. The impact of that variability on breath-alcohol analysis results is addressed in this Letter to the Editor.
