Eficacia de la psicoterapia en el maltrato infantil. Una revisión sistemática de la experiencia Latinoamericana

    El maltrato infantil en sus diversas formas constituye en la actualidad un grave fenómeno que viene afectando a toda Latinoamericana. Diversos estudios sugieren las graves consecuencias psicológicas, sociales y de salud pública del maltrato infantil en nuestra sociedad. Objetivo: La presente revisión sistemática busca conocer la literatura científica respecto a la efectividad del uso de la psicoterapia para el tratamiento del maltrato infantil en cualquiera de sus formas, focalizado en la experiencia Latinoamericana. Método: Se seleccionaron publicaciones desde el primero de enero del 2017 hasta octubre 2022, en idioma español y portugués. Las bases de datos utilizadas para el presente estudio fueron Scopus, Science direct y Scielo. Se utilizaron los criterios y el método Prisma (Preferred Reporting Items For Systematic and Meta Analyses). Resultados: Se identificaron 7,126 artículos, de los cuales se seleccionaron tres estudios sobre la eficacia de la psicoterapia sobre el tratamiento del maltrato infantil, los mismos que cumplían con los criterios establecidos para el presente estudio. Conclusiones: Se encuentra que los diversos estudios lograron reducir los síntomas clínicos relacionados, evidenciando ser efectivos en el tratamiento del maltrato infantil.

    Child abuse in its various forms is currently a serious phenomenon that has been affecting our region throughout Latin America. Various studies suggest the serious psychological, social and public health consequences of child abuse in our society. Objective: This systematic review seeks to know the scientific literature regarding the effectiveness of the use of psychotherapy for the treatment of child abuse in any of its forms, focused on the Latin American experience. Method: Publications were selected from January 1, 2017 to October 2022, in Spanish and Portuguese. The databases used for this study were Scopus, Science direct and Scielo. Using the criteria and the Prisma method (Preferred Reporting Items For Systematic and Meta Analyses). Results: Three studies on the efficacy of psychotherapy in the treatment of child abuse were selected, the same ones that met the criteria established for this study. Conclusions: It is found that the various studies managed to reduce the related clinical symptoms, showing that they are effective in the treatment of child abuse.
