    España y la Unión Europea han sufrido una serie de movimientos migratorios derivados de las problemáticas existentes en los países de origen. La aparición de muchos migrantes pertenecientes a diferentes comunidades culturales o religiosas ha puesto en valor la figura del mediador intercultural que pueda ayudar a buscar una mejor convivencia fomentando la igualdad entre los diferentes grupos raciales y religiosos o provenientes de diversas culturas que deben desarrollar su vida en un entorno que no es a veces el más adecuado ni idóneo y que además proceden de lugares en los que los migrantes han tenido que hipotecar sus escasas pertenencias en los países de origen donde las mafias les obligan a pagar cantidades de dinero que no disponen, evitando que su llegada a los países de destino pueda ser una vía fácil para ellos.

    Spain and the European Union have suffered a series of migratory movements derived from the problems existing in the countries of origin. The emergence of many migrants belonging to different cultural or religious communities has highlighted the value of the figure of the intercultural mediator who can help to seek a better coexistence by promoting equality between different racial and religious groups or from different cultures that must develop their lives in an environment that is sometimes not the most suitable or ideal and that also come from places where migrants have had to morgage their meagre belongings in the countries of origin where the mafias force them to pay amounts of money that they do not have, preventing their arrival in the countries of destination from being an easy route for them.
