Though buried in the ramblings of Mein Kampf, a rather complete theory of persuasion was developed by Hitler. The author suggests that rhetoric occupies a position of centrality in Hitler's total philosophical system, and he demonstrates that the essential feature of his rhetorical theory is its emphasis on persuasion as a sequential process which aims at emotional conversion in the mass rally.
