    The inclusive churches (IC’s) adds Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite, Transsexual, Transgender, and Queer people (LGBTQ), People who have historically been set apart from Christian religions. They emerged in Brazil in the 1990s being part of a movement started in 1968 in the United States of America. This scenario awakened to research in order to understand the meaning of IC’s in the urban context of the city of Fortaleza-CE. The research focus is qualitative, following the theoretical-methodological propositions of Geography of Religion, in which the aspects of religion that are of interest to Geography are those linked to faith in time and space. The IC’s are manifestations that take place in the urban space of the metropolises, configuring themselves as territories of struggle, resistance and LGBTQ faith. In Fortaleza, these churches are already part of the city’s urban landscape, forming a physical and virtual spatial network, which every day adds more LGBTQ Christians

    As Igrejas Inclusivas (ICs) agregam pessoas Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis, Transexuais, Transgêneros e Queer (LGBTQ), grupos sociais historicamente colocados à parte das religiões cristãs. Elas surgem no Brasil na década de 1990, fazendo parte de um movimento iniciado em 1968 nos Estados Unidos da América. Esse cenário despertou para a busca de compreender o significado das ICs para as pessoas LGBTQ no contexto urbano de Fortaleza-CE. O enfoque da pesquisa é qualitativo, seguindo as proposições teórico-metodológicas da Geografia da Religião, na qual os aspectos da religião que interessam à Geografia são aqueles ligados à fé no tempo e espaço. As ICs são manifestações que se dão no espaço urbano das metrópoles, se configurando como territórios de luta, resistência e fé LGBTQ. Em Fortaleza, essas Igrejas já fazem parte da paisagem urbana da cidade, formando uma rede espacial física e virtual que a cada dia agrega mais LGBTQ cristãos.
