    El cultivo del artículo ha sido una constante en la trayectoria literaria de Javier Marías, pues entre 1994 y el 2022, año de su muerte, escribió una pieza semanal, aunque había empezado a colaborar en la prensa en 1978. Por tanto, ocupa un lugar importante en el conjunto de su obra, sin olvidar que el propósito era distinto del que lo llevaba a la ficción narrativa. Aquí, sin perder de vista el conjunto de sus libros, me centro en las dos últimas recopilaciones de artículos, las aparecidas en el 2019 y el 2022, para intentar explicar qué características presentan y qué significan en el conjunto de su escritura, de su pensamiento.

    The cultivation of the article has been a constant in the literary career of Javier Marías, since between 1994 and 2022, the year of his death, he wrote a weekly piece, although he had begun to collaborate in the press in 1978. Therefore, it occupies a place important in the whole of his work, without forgetting that the purpose was different from that which led him to narrative fiction. Here, without losing sight of the set of his books, I focused on the last two collections of articles, those that appeared in 2019 and 2022, to try to explain what characteristics they present and what they mean in the set of his writing, his thinking.
