    El cine fue uno de los principales entretenimientos en la vida de los españoles durante la primera mitad del franquismo, y entre todas las cinematografías disponibles la estadounidense era sin duda la más popular. Por ello las autoridades franquistas atendieron siempre con especial celo a las películas hollywoodienses, que mostraban unas formas de vida muy alejadas del proyecto social que el Régimen quería instaurar. Parece por tanto interesante explorar este discurso censor que modela el ideario de los filmes en esta década bisagra del franquismo, los años 50, e indagar en la construcción de los discursos elaborados por las Juntas de Clasificación y Censura y sus prácticas sobre los filmes estadounidenses más exitosos de la época. Procuramos aquí ofrecer un estudio del texto y el contexto.

    Cinema was one of the main entertainments in the lives of Spaniards during the first half of the Franco regime, and among all the film productions available, the American one was undoubtedly the most popular. For this reason, Francoist authorities always paid special attention to Hollywood films, which showed ways of life far removed from the social project that the Regime wanted to establish. It therefore seems interesting to explore this censor discourse that shaped the ideology of films in this key decade of Francoism, the 1950s, and to investigate the construction of the discourses elaborated by the Classification and Censorship Boards and their practices on the most successful American films of the time. We attempt here to offer a study of the text and the context.
